Only a few days left before Oliver's first vacation. While his mom is stressing around trying to remember everything, Oliver is taking it easy and is mostly busy sleeping, eating, playing, and dirtying a lot of diapers. :-)
Once again, Oliver went through a hernia surgery. This time on the right side. I took him to the doctor Monday, June 8th due to suspecting yet another hernia. The doctor confirmed my suspecion and as soon as he heard about our upcoming vacation plans, he decided to do surgery immediately. We got an appointment for Tuesday, June 9th at 6 am. That's the American system for you at its best.... We arrived Children's Mercy, Downtown KC, at 6 am and at 7.25 am little Oliver was taken to surgery. It is absolutely horrible to send off your little baby knowing that someone is going to poke him with needles and cut in him....... The surgery was quick though. At 7.45 am, the surgeon came down to the waiting room and told us that Oliver once againg had done really, really well and that he now was in the recovery room. At 10 am we were home again. Oliver was somewhat groggy, but he slept through the night alright. Wednesday, he was a little grumpy, but otherwise ok. Today, Thursday, he is back to normal again. He is such a champ.
